In order to make the most of your interviews of Wedding Consultants, spend some time thinking about your needs and wants for your wedding beforehand. Here are some things to consider and discuss with your fiancé and family:
  • Your vision and expectations for your wedding
  • Your expectations of your Wedding Consultant
    • Do you want the consultant to assist you with every aspect of the planning?
    • Do you want to do a lot of the planning yourself, but receive more assistance closer to the wedding date?
    • Do you simply need a Wedding Director on the day of the wedding?
  • What traditions and customs are important to you and your families?
    • Cultures, Faiths, Ethnicities
  • Location/Setting
    • Ceremony: Place of worship (denominational or non-denominational), garden, private home, courthouse, university/college, etc.
    • Reception: Special events facility, historic site, unique location, hotel, country club, etc.
  • Style
    • Ultra formal, Formal, Semiformal, Informal
  • Theme
    • Victorian, Western, Christmas, Beach, Princess, etc.
  • Season in which you are marrying
  • Favorite colors, flowers, fabrics, motifs, etc.
  • Likes and dislikes, interests and hobbies as a couple and as individuals
  • Top three things that are most important to you for your wedding
  • What memories do you want to have?
  • What is your financial commitment to the event?
Organizing your thoughts, wishes and priorities ahead of time will allow you and your Wedding Consultant to work together to build a blueprint of your dream wedding.
