3 Priority Wedding Planning Tips
For many, the holidays bring festive times, good food and great parties. For those who serve in the wedding industry, we know it also means the sounding of the bell on engagements. If you find yourself behind the ring-a-ding-ding of the matrimony melody, or at least hope to be before the holidays end, here are three important tips to help get you on your way to “I DO” after you say “I WILL.”
-
Prioritize the areas of your wedding and agree on a budget. It does not have to be absolute. Having a budget gives you focus, while ultimately making it easier for you and potential wedding service professionals to know what you are working with and just how far your money will go.
-
Estimate the number of guests you plan on inviting. This is a vital number. Every wedding professional you speak with will ask you for it. Venue sites have to know it. Individual guest counts are not the same as invitation counts. What you want to do is think about how many people you desire to have with you on your special day. As a general rule, the more people you invite, the more your wedding cost goes up.
-
Start looking for a wedding and reception site as soon as possible. You have probably already read that many places book up months, even years in advance. The other thing to keep in mind is that more and more couples are booking Fridays and Sundays. No longer is it just Saturdays that go quickly.
In 2007, the date 777 (July 7, 2007) was quite a popular one. For 2008, Predictions are that 888 (August 8, 2008) will be just as popular. So, if you missed 777, and want to get in on 888, do not delay. Work on it today.
