Age Requirement You must be at least 18 years old. A birth certificate may be necessary to show proof of age. If either partner is under 18, parental consent forms must be signed.
Residency Requirement You do not have to be a resident of Georgia. However, if not a resident, you must apply in the county where the marriage is to be performed.
Identification Requirement Two valid forms of id such as drivers license, birth certificate, U.S. passport, Armed Forces ID card, or Resident Alien ID card. Applicants will also be asked to fill out a brief form.
Previous Marriage If previously married, the date of divorce or date of spouse's death must be provided. If the divorce or spouse's death had taken place within the last 6 months, bring a certified copy of the divorce decree or death certificate.
